Kokusaijin Award Winners for 2009:
(L-R) Santiago Herrera (Cultural Services), Chris Flynn (Community Service), Mies Heerma (Environment Teku Teku ), with Fukuoka Now Publisher Nick Szasz
Here a little part of my speech:
First of all a big Thanks to Fukuoka Now
all of those who helped me out and voted for me!
I'd like to quote Al Gore by saying;
There are a lot of people who are going straight from denial to despair
without pausing at the intermediate step of actually doing something.
Teku Teku = the sound of footsteps
The step of actually doing something.
Eat less meat refuse that plastic bag ride your bicycle etc
All those little steps are very important!
